The students will learn strategies for marking their favorite websites while doing research or finding personal sites to use. They will learn how to:
- save using the Bookmarks/Favorites tool
- Copy/Paste the URL into Word
- Save the web page onto the computer

The students will start a unit on Research Strategies. This week we are focusing on Specific Searches using keywords. The students will view a PowerPoint then practice using specific keywords researching information about bald eagles.

No computer classes this week because of Mid-Term Exams.
October 28 - November 1
The students will spend this week working on Typing Club lessons. Lessons 1-35 should be completed by Mid-Term Exams (November 8). Grades will be given based on the following:

The students will not be coming to computer lab during these weeks. Our school is taking an online assessment called MAPS. You should receive information about this from your child's homeroom teachers.
Week 3: September 16-18
- Finish creating Edmodo accounts and joining teacher groups.
- Practice typing in Typing Club.
Week 2: September 9-13
Students will be creating accounts in Edmodo. This is an online tool for teachers to interact with students. Teachers will be putting assignments on Edmodo and students will be expected to communicate using this tool. This is a closed group and each student will be given his/her own username and password.
